comment: Festival's line-up is the same as the previous day. Bono again impressively climbs the stage's scaffolding during The Electric Co. Before Out Of Control, Edge starts playing the intro of Twilight but stops. The show is filmed and recorded for both TV and radio, and I Threw A Brick, A Day Without Me, and Fire are later used as b-sides on the New Year's Day single.

comment: During the encore, Bono brings his then-girlfriend (now wife) Alison Stewart on stage. Then, during 11 O'clock Tick Tock, he drags B. P. Fallon on stage as well. U2's appearance is as part of a festival celebrating magazine Hot Press's fifth anniversary, and the other bands that perform are: Big Self, De Danann, Simple Minds, Paul Brady, and Rory Gallagher.
