This is only the second time Two Shots has been played live; its sole previous performance was in late 1995. Before Bono and Edge performed, Costello and his band covered Please, Dirty Day, and Mysterious Ways. Pump It Up and Get On Your Boots were played as a medley.

09/26/2009 NBC Saturday Night Live - NBC Studios - New York, New York, USA
Breathe, Moment of Surrender, Ultraviolet (Light My Way), With or Without You
comment: U2 perform on the first episode of Saturday Night Live's 35th season. Four songs are performed but only the first three are broadcast. None of the three songs broadcast are singles; Moment Of Surrender and Ultra Violet had never even been played outside of the full concert setting before.

10/04/2009 Carnegie Hall - New York, New York, USA
Children Of The Revolution, I Want To Live, King Of Trash / 20th Century Boy (snippet), Another Blow On The Bruise, The Last Song I'll Ever Sing, Sweet Jane, The Jean Genie
comment: All four members of U2 appear at An Evening With Gavin Friday And Friends, a concert in the Red Nights series being held by Product Red to support the fight against AIDS and to celebrate Gavin Friday's 50th birthday. Only listed are the songs featuring members of U2. Bono, Edge, and Gavin did Children Of The Revolution. I Want To Live and King Of Trash were all of U2 and Gavin's musicians, but not Gavin himself. Another Blow On The Bruise was Edge and Gavin; The Last Song I'll Ever Sing was Bono and Gavin's musicians. Edge and Larry joined Lou Reed, Gavin Friday and others for Sweet Jane - and Bono came on for the end of the song. Then all four members of U2 featured with many of the night's other performers in the finale of Jean Genie. See our full report here.

10/30/2009 Madison Square Garden - New York, New York, USA
Vertigo / It's Only Rock 'n' Roll (But I Like It) (snippet) / Rock 'n' Roll High School (snippet), Magnificent, Because The Night (with Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith), Because The Night (with Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith), I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For / The Promised Land (snippet) (with Bruce Springsteen), Mysterious Ways, Where Is The Love? / One (snippet) (with Black Eyed Peas), Gimme Shelter (with Mick Jagger, Fergie), Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of (with Mick Jagger), Beautiful Day / Because The Night (snippet)
comment: U2 perform at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame's 25th anniversary concert. Bruce Springsteen joins U2 for Because The Night and I Still Haven't Found; Patti Smith also joins for Because The Night. Due to missed cues, Because The Night is repeated in full, and the intro is done a third time. It is also snippeted by Bono over Beautiful Day's outro. Mysterious Ways segues into Where Is The Love?, which is performed with the Black Eyed Peas. Bono inserts lyrics of One at the end. Gimme Shelter is performed with Mick Jagger and Fergie. Stuck In A Moment is performed with Mick Jagger.

11/05/2009 Brandenburg Gate - Berlin, Germany
One, Magnificent, Sunday Bloody Sunday / Get Up Stand Up (snippet) (with Jay-Z), Beautiful Day / Blackbird (snippet), Vertigo, Moment of Surrender
comment: U2 perform in front of the Brandenburg Gate as a prelude to the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. The event, although ticketed, was free and broadcast as part of MTV's 2009 Europe Music Awards. One and especially Magnificent are abbreviated versions. Jay-Z guest-raps in Sunday Bloody Sunday. Beautiful Day has the extended "we love you" intro, used for the first time since 20 September 2009.

11/18/2009 Chelsea Piers - New York, New York, USA
Redemption Song (with Wyclef Jean)
comment: Bono receives the 2009 Ripple Of Hope Award from the Robert F. Kennedy Center For Justice And Human Rights. Wyclef Jean is also honoured with the award, and at the end of the ceremony, the two perform together. Wyclef Jean also performed his own song Carnival, but this did not feature Bono.

12/24/2009 Grafton Street - Dublin, Ireland
Stand By Me, One, Hear Us Coming (snippet) / Knockin' on Heaven's Door
comment: Bono appears in a busking session with Damien Rice, Glen Hansard, Mundy and others to raise money for Dublin's Simon Community. In a curious twist, the Hear Us Coming verse normally sung at the end of One live is used after One as an intro to Knockin' on Heaven's Door, with the final line "do you hear us knockin' on heaven's door?"
